Overview

Shukla Ekadashi is the eleventh tithi of the waxing moon, most sacred to Lord Vishnu. As a Nanda (joy) tithi with Jupiter's benevolence, it is considered the most spiritually potent day for fasting, devotion, and attaining moksha.

Significance

Shukla Ekadashi is universally regarded as one of the most sacred tithis in Vedic tradition. Lord Vishnu himself declared Ekadashi as his favorite day, and observing Ekadashi vrat is said to bestow the merit of performing many yajnas. Each month's Ekadashi has a unique name and specific blessings, such as Nirjala Ekadashi (Jyeshtha), Devshayani Ekadashi (Ashadha), and Vaikuntha Ekadashi (Margashirsha). The Nanda nature brings divine joy to devotees who observe this fast sincerely, while Jupiter's influence expands spiritual consciousness and connects the soul to the Supreme.
